MovieConnect ships orders every week Australia wide. Our objective in setting our shipping rates is solely to recover the costs imposed by the various carriers and recoup the costs of packaging required to get your order to you in one piece. From time to time these costs are varied, and our shipping charges will vary accordingly.

In the majority of cases we will have your selected item in stock and it will be shipped to your nominated recipient when payment has been cleared.

We ship items in good faith and rely on the honesty and integrity of our various carriers to deliver the goods to you as addressed. As a general rule, MovieConnect will not be held responsible for shipments that go missing or items that go missing from shipments. At our sole discretion, depending on the shipping destination and your history with MovieConnect, we would however hope to be able to achieve a mutually satisfactory resolution to any such situation. Note also that we reserve the right to upgrade your chosen shipping method at no extra cost to you for reasons of safety and/or practicality.

MovieConnect will strive to supply you with any of our listed items that are available in Australia as quickly as possible. We endeavour to keep a wide range of our items in stock, however we are unable to keep every single item. If we do not have your selected item in stock, we will source it from our distributors, and will then despatch it to you as soon as possible.

If we do not have your preferred item in stock, we will mail it off to you within 2-5 working days of placing your order. All orders placed after 11:00am will be processed the next business day.

Please refer to the delivery details below for Australian and International shipping charges.

DVD REGION

DVD region coding limits which countries that a DVD can be played in. For instance, a Region 4 DVD can only be played in the countries/regions such as Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands and South America, as stated below. A Region 1 DVD (intended for United States and Canada) will not play on a DVD player sold in Australia, which is restricted to playing Region 4 DVDs only.

Region

Multi region DVD players are capable of playing DVDs coded in any region. They usually supports both PAL and NTSC format, but old players may only support one format, so please check the DVD player manual or with the manufacturer if in doubt. In general, all available DVDs are in Region 4 PAL format, unless otherwise stated.

No refund will be authorised for any incompatible product purchased.

COLOUR FORMAT

There are two formats :
PAL (Phase Alternate Lines)
NTSC (National Television Standards Committee)

NTSC is used mainly in North America, Japan, Mexico and Canada.
PAL is used almost everywhere else in the world, including Australia and New Zealand.

Play

Most televisions and DVD players have been designed over the past few years to support both PAL and NTSC, but say for example if you play an NTSC DVD on a PAL only system, and vice versa, the picture on your monitor will be distorted.
